Monarch Chrysalis in Glass

Did you ever take care of a Chrysalis as a kid? We had a swan plant outside our house, and occasionally, we would bring one inside the house after the monarch caterpillars had started to make their Chrysalis. It was always wonderful to watch the progress every day, to see the changes in color, and even glimpse the butterfly forming inside.  My glass piece, features gold leaf highlights, and is cast in Blackwood glass using the lost wax casting process. the piece stands roughly a foot tall, with the chrysalis larger than life.
